Rather than run the normal route for 6 miles, today we went over to the dog park and started from there. Normally the dog park is the turnaround point. I figured it was time to do a little exploring and the route was pretty nice, through some woods, past soccer fields, under the highway, and around Towne Lake. The temperature was cool, around 40 degrees or so with a slight breeze, but the sun was shining and it was really a good day for running.
The last tenth of a mile we kicked it in for a sprint to the finish. Hadn't run fast in a while and that was kind of fun. That was a 15-mile week. Not great, but it's a build-up to the beginning of the training plan, which starts...tomorrow. With a rest day. Now that's my kind of training plan.
