Back to Yasso 800s
Today we ran in the wonderful wind and did some modified Yasso 800s. With the lack of a good GPS watch I decided we would run half-mile intervals, which is pretty much the same as 800m, and then a half-mile recovery instead of the 400m that the plan prescribes. It was actually a pretty good reintroduction to speed work, and allowed us to walk a little for recovery. The Craig Ranch neighborhood gate was open and we were able to stay on relatively flat ground. My Nike app reported to me afterword that I set a personal 1k record somewhere in the 5-minute range, and that seems suspect to me. I don't think I was ever moving that fast. I think if I had I would have felt like puking at some point.
