Today's 10-miler kind of turned out to be a slog. Neither of us were looking forward to it, and a temperature around 40 degrees with a stinging wind out of the north didn't help. We walked a few times but slogged through. Our route took us past the dog park and into the loop south of Virginia Parkway, which turned out to be waterlogged in places. On the way back we skipped the loop.
Although it was cold, for Texas, I kept counting my blessings since the cold here is nowhere near the colder runs from my KC days. At one point I remarked that weather like this felt warm during all those sub-freezing outings in Missouri. There were times I would have killed for this kind of day. No complaints.
