Hot Walk

We didn't quite hit the century mark today, topping out at 99 degrees with a 107 heat index. I should've gone out earlier when the sky was overcast, but I had things to do this morning downtown. That resulted in a walk this afternoon of 3.15 miles through the neighborhood to the west. I stuck to the side of the road offering the most shade from front-yard trees and managed to return after a lot of sweat. Overall, a nice relaxing walk. I finished writing the draft of my latest book on Thursday and did some formatting work on it today, so I feel pretty good overall. I thought about mowing the lawn, but that sounds like a tomorrow problem. For now, I think it's time to relax.
