Wamego is home to several Wizard of Oz tourist destinations, including a museum, an actual yellow brick road, a house with a witch's legs sticking out from underneath, and of course a winery. Today it also hosted a stiff breeze from the south. It was my first run since the race, and I intentionally took it easy and ended up at 4.14 miles.
After race day (a Saturday) it took until Tuesday for my right calf to stop aching. I was going to run at some point last week in Austin but decided it was best to let my legs recover. A wise choice since today I felt pretty good in spite of a little rust.
