Back from Vegas

Las Vegas sucks. Too many people, and no good places to run. Plus too much work. So I missed running on Tuesday. The plan was to get up at 7:30 and run by 8 since the first meeting wasn't until 11 or so. Instead I woke up at 7:30 and within sixty seconds got a text that we had a meeting at 8 that I hadn't been invited to until that moment. Great.

Back in Texas I slept late today (due to working all day Sunday) and ran in the heat. It was okay since I decided beforehand to walk every mile. It always starts out the same - hey, this first mile isn't so bad, I can probably run most of it. Today I ran at mile one and every mile marker thereafter, as well as up the big hill. That was a good decision. At times I questioned the 6-mile goal but in the end I made it. And Texas does not suck.
