I mean, seriously, shouldn't I get extra credit for running when the heat index is above 100 degrees? That was the case again today, when I ran 4 miles and carried my new best friend, the trusty water bottle, with me. The distance isn't that bad, but the bad thing about living in a new neighborhood surrounded by other new developments is that shade is almost non-existent. It's so bad that the minimal shade of the saplings planted by the side of the road is a welcome relief.
On another note, this is the 100th post on my little blog here. Which means that due to a couple of extraneous posts, I've probably run 97 or 98 times since starting this thing. Maybe when it's all said and done I'll add up how many miles that represents.
